Aiming at continuous product quality improvement, the plant established the following test laboratories:

  • spectral analysis lab
  • metallurgy and material testing lab
  • physical-chemical analysis lab.

Spectral analysis lab is equipped with state-of-the-art ARL3460 spectrometer that enables full chemistry analysis of steels, irons, Ni-based alloys including main alloying elements, inoculants and contaminants.

Material testing lab performs comprehensive analysis of mechanical properties and performance characteristics of casting materials to check whether they meet customer requirements: hardness, strength performance (ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, elongation and contraction), resistance to intercrystalline corrosion, ferrite phase in Cr-Ni steels, impact bending test.

Incoming raw materials are inspected in physical-chemical analysis lab which also checks the performance of sand-resin mixtures to be used in foundry.

State-of-the-art lab equipment is a basis for strict control of full production cycle.
